Creating special atmosphere for our customers has always been very important at Bitburger Club. At the same time we wanted to help young women in their search of something special - realize a dream of becoming the next Heidi Klum. Thanks to an idea developed by Wilhelm (Willy) Lundberg, Miss Bitburger pageant was born. Realizing this idea took a lot of courage and hard work.

We could not possibly have done it without the main sponsors of the event - Kempinski Hotel Zografski and Bitburger Brauerei.

Preliminary competition was held on June 5, 2003 and included Artistic Expression (Talent), Presence and Poise, Lifestyle and Interview. Close to 100 contestants entered the competition and the Jury had the difficult yet pleasant task of selecting the ten finalists.

Finals competition was set for June 12, 2003. We had the pleasure to welcome the hostess Simona Velitchkova (Miss Bulgaria 1997). Her charm and grace made this night unforgettable. Willy was as sharp as only he can be but even he could not grab the public's attention away from the lovely contestants.

After all was set and done, Miss Bitburger 2003 award (a weekend in Berlin's famous Kempinski Bristol Hotel with all the necessities) went to nineteen years old Iva Nedelcheva. The award was presented by Josef A. Halbherr, general manager Kempinski Hotel Zografski. Iva plans to go to college this year and eventually to become a PR agent. She likes movies and swimming and her favorite author is Pablo Kuelio. First runner-up was Vesela Musorlieva - her award was a week vacation in the prestigious sea resort Slanchev Briag. Second runner-up was Neli Ivanova. Grand-prize winner was fifteen years old Petia Velkova. She won an year contract with Argentinean model agency, a trip to Brazil with photo shooting - total price €10,000. Congratulations to this year winners.
